This season is over. Please bring back Diaw, Dragic, Barbosa or any good player next year!
I believe that Suns is a good team but there are many strong teams at western conference. It is not possible for Suns to get playoff tickets. The draft pick is good for next year.
If we get a good pick, get back some quality player and get a top level player, I believe that Suns will rise next year.
Are any players (Free agent) valuable for getting back?
Are good players available? (eg. Love, Eric Gordon, Mayo, Nick Young or any other else)

We trying to build the "Ex-girlfriend dream team" or something?

They are only age under 30. I guess they still have energy

But you know that the Ex-Girlfriend just can't resist you
because like, you’ve got Steve Nash.

Amare is better than Frye
Hell, at this point Joel Anthony is better than Frye.

Morris is a rookie,
a damn good rookie. Diaw is a french pastry with a side of bisque. None of the aforementioned ex-Suns you listed get us to championship caliber, or even playoff caliber. They maybe get there if you hop in a time machine and steal 30-32 year old Nash, but not with 38 year old Nash. Gordon is most likely the best player we will get this offseason, yet the chances are slim to none. No, I believe we will be signing past-their-prime players to 1-2 year deals along with 1 year deals to the Shannon Browns of the league and be forced to face the realization that being a mid-market team we will only be able to build through the draft.
P.S. I appreciate the post. Always gives us something to talk about. But please, if you’re going to post, take the time to check your grammer. Just a little.
haha, had to do it...
I’m not one to correct anybody usually, but if any time was perfect to do so, it was then;)
I don’t think the season’s over. It’s still way to early for that. We do need to upgrade or strengthen several positions where we’ve been vunerable.
Despite how things have been going for our suns this season, there are still some bright spots. The veteran-like play of our rookie markieff morris, the fact that we still have nash and hill as examples for our younger players, the recent play of shannon brown and price’s defense.
Overall, we have a pretty solid bench. We just need to do something we’ve been putting off for several seasons and that’s finding a pointguard worthy of being nash’s replacement(when he leaves or retires) and someone to take over for hill too.
Then a talented and skilled young shooting guard and we"ll be a threat in the west again.
I know this has been a very frustrating season, but we have to take whatever positives we can from it wether it’s playoff hopes or draft day speculation, we"ll get better one way or another.
WTF? Diaw, Barbs and Dragon? Seriously?
Diaw is inconsistent and is always out of shape for the 1st two months of every season. Barbs is still Barbs. Inconsistent on the offense and offers nothing on the D. Dragic hasn’t improved much at all.
I hope that we can acquire one or two of the following:
PG: Felton, Augustin
SG: Chandler, Mayo
SF: Gallinari, Chandler, Batum
Women were the reason I became a monk - and, ah, the reason I switched back... -Morte, Planescape Torment
Let’s do an exercise of imagination.
I propose to make a list (1-2 players by position) with the players that we’d like to have on our roster to end the season and start the next; players acquired in a trade; but it has to be something realistic; don’t say Kobe Bryant or Lebron James because we all know that this is impossible.
PG: James Harden
SG: Wilson Chandler – Rudy Fernández
SF: Batum – Beasley
PF: Ryan Anderson -
Center: Varejao
PG: Felton, Augustin
SG: Chandler, Mayo
SF: Gallinari, Chandler, Batum
I like them and also hope suns can get them next year. :)
To Diaw and Barbs, I still like them. Honestly, they have probably played his best basketball already.

Resigned from what? Re-signed. :)

No offense setting sun...Somehow this whole post depresses me...
I think I’ll go watch highlights of the 09/10 season instead of contemplating this stuff…..
Let's do this...!
feel sorry. just want to point out that our sun can rise only if new talents join.

Like we'd get those guys on purpose?
Or for some sort of joke?

No to Diaw...but...
Dragic a maybe. I like the kid… a lot.
Never lowercase the SUNS in Phoenix SUNS!
PG: DJ Augustine,Raymond Felton.
SG: Eric Gordon,Oj mayo
SF:Danillo Gallinari,Nic Batum
PF:Jason Thompson,Mareese speights
C: Chris kaman,Greg Oden
realistically, i think there’s a solid chance we can one or two of these guys- augustine, gallinari, thompson, speights, kaman or oden.
I hate to say it but gordon, mayo and batum will probably re-sign with their current teams and possibly gallinari as well. There’s still that outside chance that we could get any one or two of them with a really good offer(hard to see that happening given sarver’s track record) but they might look at phoenix’s recent struggles(even with nash and hill) and decide the team’s their currently on have better long-term potential. I can see felton choosing to stay with blazers vs choosing to sign with us.
Chris kaman might end up being a good choice to replace lopez(we could do worse than signing a former all-star center in kaman to backup a future all-star center in gortat) Oden would most likely come at a bargain price given his injury history(he’s still young and has scary potential) we could bring him along slowly behind gortat while our team physicians try to resurrect his career. He would be a high risk/high reward signing.
Looking at lopez’s play and attitude this season, i would be willing to take a gamble on oden’s potential. Other guys i like that we could possibly sign are: Roy hibbert(likely will re-sign with the pacers)george hill(may be a former spur, but has to have learned something in popovich’s system)
Courtney lee( a solid shooting guard that plays good defense)Anthony randolph(a pickup based on potential, maybe a future possibility at small forward)
Rudy fernandez(have a strong feeling he’ll join the wolves as rubio was a former teammate on the spanish team)
Jerryd bayless( if nash can’t teach him the pointguard position,no one can!) sam young( strong guard at 6-6 220 with good athleticism and tough perimeter defense).
Knee jerk reaction

I am only saying
We don’t need to bring back all our old players. This wouldn’t really save our team or anything and I think we need to keep building for the future. Not bringing in all these guys from the past.
