We Might had stole a Tim Duncan of our own?
I know it is still very very early, but this is the Bright side right?
Somehow Markieff Morris look a bit resemblance to the old Tim Duncan, ironically they are both calm and quiet, some even claim our Stone-Cold Morris is lack of passion, but as games go on, he may develop into a Tim Duncan of our own..what's more? our Morris can score 3 points and remain as calm (or as impassioned) as ever...
so this might be an underdog number-13 pick story that grow into a legend.... At least now we wont hear those negative comment about him when we pick him few months ago:)

Morris's skillset is very fundamentally sound. In that regard he is similiar to duncan.
I always viewed morris potentially developing into a horace grant type of power forward. Despite his impressive play in his rookie season i don’t see him developing into a can’t miss superstar like duncan did as a rookie.
I do believe he has enough talent as i’ve said above to become a potential all-star power forward like horace grant was and at worst a very reliable starter. The key to him reaching that potential faster will be determined by the pieces we surround him with during the off-season.
Price is a talented backup to nash, but i’d like to see us draft someone like kendall marshall because like nash he has the gift of making everyone better with his passing. Then maybe we might trade for someone like vanderbilt’s jeffrey taylor, the shooting guard/small forward for the commodores is so athletic and explosive he makes marion look like a statue!
We could get both those guys after the lottery and have a big three of marshall, morris and taylor. Hypothetically speaking, just playing next to those two guys would help morris develop into an all-star and make the suns elite again!
He's playing decent
Even good sometimes. And considering how bad his draft class was called, and considering how high our pick was, I think we finally lucked out in the draft.

I think he is playing pretty well for a rookie
But to compare him to Duncan….. Hmmm……

Cardinals, Suns, D-backs for life!
I don't think he has the physical tools to be a Duncan
His basketball skillset reminds me more of Bill Laimbeer – a smart, tough player, who rebounds, and has good range from the outside.
Now he just has to work on his flopping.. :-D
Voted most likely to say "I told you so"
He's good, but Duncan was All-NBA First Team as a rookie
His overall projection is spot on: Rasheed Wallace without the crazy. He already has the jumper and looks better than Sheed ever did from deep, hes also shown a decent post game reminiscent to Sheeds. His rebounding has been great and he shows a nice feel for the game with his passing and shot blocking.
His defense has a ways to go but he has smarts and he makes the effort, so it’s only a matter of time. I do agree with the sentiment though, the way Kieff is playing the Suns don’t have to worry about the 4 for a while.
who compared him to sheed?
do people remember how good players like sheed and duncan were? jesus christ lol
Tim Duncan
is a low post player, back to the basket prior to faceup and hit a near jumper off the glass. Or post up with a move to the middle and hook over your head.
Morris is much more like Chris Bosh, Rasheed Wallace, Detlef Schrempf, Juwan Howard, even a little Karl Malone (without Malone’s drive to the hoop or rebounding tenacity). He lives outside of the paint, not down on the low block. He can hit the outside shot or the elbow extended. He runs the floor well and boxes out with precision, but he doesn’t have the dribble-drive yet of Malone or Howard and doesn’t have the defensive power of Malone.
I think he’s much more like Malone than Duncan.
you could also say
he’s like Nowitski or Boozer
Easy...Easy...
Let’s not put too much expectation on him right now…If Morris turns into a consistent 16 & 9 guy, I’ll be estatic…To compare him to arguably the greatest PF of all time just isn’t fair and it’s unrealistic.
