Alvin Gentry, never one to look a preseason win in the mouth, told reporters after the Suns win in Dallas that he wants his team to focus on getting better defensively. Phoenix improved to 2-1 in the preseason with the road win.
The Suns gave up 94 points on 46 percent shooting to the Mavs, but clearly that's not good enough...nor should it be. Good teams are never satisfied. Great teams can always get better. The Suns probably won't be the later this season, but that shouldn't stop them from having the right approach.
