Rick Scuteri-US PRESSWIRE

The Suns proved to be too hot to handle for the Denver Nuggets tonight as Phoenix closes out the preseason with a victory at home.

The Suns came out ready to play tonight, especially Michael Beasley who led the team with 29 points on 13-21 shooting including going 3-3 from downtown...and also grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Suns in both categories.

The first unit of the Suns was in sync once again tonight, with the bench still struggling to find their rhythm. Denver fought back in the second quarter and made it a close game, but the Suns starting five proved to be too much for the short-handed Nuggets and Phoenix went on to win the game 88-72, and end the preseason with a winning record of 4-3.

The Denver Nuggets were led by Jordan Hamilton who ended up with 15 points and 9 rebounds, with Kenneth Faried contributing 12 points and 6 rebounds as well. The Denver Nuggets who also played their final exhibition game tonight will fall to 3-4 during the preseason.
