The Phoenix Suns defined by 1 play - A Prediction

At the 5:33 mark of the 4th quarter, The Suns and Bobcats had a decent game underway. Nothing spectacular, mind you, considering these 2 teams are very bottom of the barrel in this remarkably short season. Shannon Brown was streaking, things were looking, good, and then the ominous moment occured.

I don't remember the preceeding play of The Bobcats, but running down court was, I believe, Shannon Brown defending a fast break, being trailed by PJ Tucker. Senor Tucker, thanks to his hustle, managed to snag a block, and then a stop in play. 2 things I saw in this sent those Waves of Ominisity through my body.

Not one of the other 3 Suns players were close to help. Usually, no biggy. Stuffs going on, can't always get back into the proper D position, I get it. But not one of the other 4 Suns on the court helped PJ off the ground. They didn't even walk over to him. Not one of the guys on the court backed his play. Not one.

Who came over to him? Gortat. A dude who's having a hell of a game, was the only person (as far as the camera angle allowed me to see) to go help his teammate. And it dawns on me just how many plays I have seen in this game which reinforce PJ's isolation.

Prediction - We're DOOMED. This group of players are too selfish, overall, to be a team that believes enough in itself to fight for each other. I'm not prepping for Doomsday myself, but as a Suns Fan, I am preparing for the end of the world.
