Welcome to Solar Flares, the place for all your off-topic drivel.
This Saturday is Dec. 15th, a very exciting day and for a number of reasons:
1. It's Saturday, the day we don't have to work, unless we actually have to work...
2. The Hobbit will be open in Theaters. I am going to see it with my fam.
3. It is the day NBA free agents who were signed in the summer can be traded.
See, there are many reasons to be excited for Dec. 15th.
Now before we dive into #3 it will be important that we note that Luis Scola cannot be traded this year. Again, Luis Scola cannot be traded this year. Luis Scola can't be traded. Don't trade Luis Scola. Don't trade Luis Scola!
Can someone please refresh my memory as to why we cannot trade Scola until the summer? Also, what week is this? I'm not trying to be funny with the headline. I really don't know.
Anyway, I'll be keeping an eye open on the 15th for any possible trades involving the Suns. I think there's a strong chance something might happen. A couple years ago there was the Jason Richardson trade for Gortat on the 18th. A couple years prior there was the Bell trade for Jason Richardson on the 15th, so it's very possible that a trade will happen around this date. I don't know though. All I know is that this time it won't involve Jason Richardson.
