The Return of Aaron Brooks from China Will Be Worth the Wait
Although I wasn't his biggest fan last year, watching this video sure made me wish Brooks was still our back up point guard. Think he'll resign or screw us over (again) by sitting the rest of the year out?

Isn't that what Seth said?
I doubt the Suns are just going to let him walk.

He has been saying that for a while now
We will see what happens I guess.

Cardinals, Suns, D-backs for life!
Then why did they offer him the qualifying offer before the CBA expired?
As bad as Brooks was, ANYTHING is better then Telfoul and .99 cents at the backup PG.

There's no way Aaron Brooks sits out.
He just played in China. That is not the mindset of a baller who sits out.
While Brooks did not get the Suns to the playoffs, the Suns would be fools not to make a serious attempt to sign him. The Suns need to save a little face here on Dragic trade. Could another team offer slightly more and Sarver decides an extra 1-2 mil. for Brooks is not worth it? Yeah I could see that. Blazers and Lakers have deep pockets and are desperate at the PG.
Telfair/Price have been awful as expected and Brooks could give life to the second unit.
It is in the Suns and Brooks best interests for him to finish season with the Suns.

This is where we get into trouble. Dragic is a sunk cost at this point. Any decision made about Brooks has to be made based on his basketball abilities. Signing him just because we don’t want that trade to look even worse is terrible management.
Go Suns, Packers, Jays, and Huskers!

Just bringing in the human element...
of shame from a trade that was a combo of bad luck/chemistry/timing. I’m sure when the Suns traded Dragic + draft pick for Brooks that part of the appeal was that Suns would have the upper hand in resigning Brooks for this season or have time/money find somebody else. Instead Brooks leaves for China a week before CBA is signed and Suns are left scrambling to sign Price/Telfair. The backup PG position is even worse now. It’s partly to blame for Suns current record so I hope Suns are smart enough to at least get Brooks for this season.

I'm not disagreeing that we should sign him necessarily.
In fact, I didn’t make a case either way. I just disagreed about the reasoning behind a possible re-singing. It has to be a basketball decision. If they feel he can help without messing up our cap, then do it.
