May 9, 1996 "Although I was hoping to be the first to mention it, nonetheless I want to start a groundswell movement to pick up Steve Nash with the 14th pick in the upcoming NBA draft. Although an underclassman may have more potential as an athlete, I'm all for picking up a player with a little more maturity. Nash is 6'3", plays point guard, and can score in bunches. Although I don't want people to think he's Randy Brown, he should be able to fill that void created by Brown's departure. And the prospect of educating a young player for three years and then watch him demand huge dollars (and/or possibly leave for same) before they reach their prime sickens me. Nash (or any good available senior) would certainly be the best choice in my opinion...
