The old rosterbation thread is old, and tired, and needs to be buried. It's full of crap ideas that were never meant to be taken seriously. And it makes me scroll down too much to look at the posts. Besies, nobody wants to rosterbate in a place where someone already left a mess. Ewwwwwww...
So, let's start a new one...
Players that are rumored to be on the block:
Dwight Howard: Officially Orlando still says they want to bring in talent to pair with Dwight, but since the only other asset they have is Ryan Anderson, that probably won't work. Asking price is a king's ransom - a star player who is young, and multiple 1st round draft picks.
Josh Smith: Asked for a trade, but I'm not sure the Hawks also want that. Asking price: Cap relief, young assets, and preferably a real center to put next to Horford.
Andrew Bogut: Is reportedly on the trading block. The catch is he probably won't play much this season, so if you trade for him, you probably tank the season. Asking price is to take Stephen Jackson along with him (cap relief), plus draft pick(s) . That's $21M you have to commit to next season, plus tanking this season. In exchange, a potential franchise center with a history of freak injuries. Takers? High stakes gamblers?
Rajon Rondo / Ray Allen: Danny Ainge may be the most aggressive GM out there, actively shopping his best players. Asking price is a "true superstar" either/both players.
Andrew Bynum / Pau Gasol: The asking price for Bynum is Dwight Howard; nobody else need apply. Gasol, on the other hand, appear to be available for cap relief and a reasonably good point guard.
Everyone on Houston's Roster except Kyle Lowry: Houston wants a star center or power forward, and is willing to part with Scola or Martin or both, and throw in young players like Budinger and Dragic to sweeten the deal. Daryl Morey is pretty creative and likes to work multiple team trades.
Rosterbate away!. Everyone else, please refrain from crapping on the 'baters by posting stupid stuff like LeBron James for Josh Childress trades. Thanks.
