According to this (this article sums this article up very well) Insider-only piece from Chris Broussard, the Kings and Blazers have interest in our restricted FA, Aaron Brooks. The Kings have made it known that they will move anyone not named DeMarcus Cousins and Marcus Thornton and at the right price they will trade Evans. So what is the right price for Evans?
Tyreke Evans is what the Suns want, a young guy who can create his own shot at the 2 guard and with his size (6-6) can guard PG, SG, and SF with ease. He does have some trouble staying healthy as was seen by him missing 19 games last season due to plantar fasciitis but looks fine this season by averaging 17/5/5 even with the uncertainty of the coaching staff and his playing time.
So what would it take to get him? Well, they are interested in Aaron Brooks so he'd obviously be in on the trade as well as someone like Robin Lopez or Jared Dudley. The Suns could make the Kings include J.J. Hickson as the Kings have stated they are very disappointed in him. If they wanted J.J and Tyreke, I think a deal of Aaron Brooks, Robin Lopez, and 2013 1st rounder would get the ball rolling for trade talks.
What do you think? Should the Suns look to get Tyreke Evans as an option for their future? Or should they keep Aaron Brooks and look for a better deal elsewhere?
