Suns create online "Fan Hub" for meaningless drivel

"Today, we give our online fans a new place they can call home! Whether you grew up rooting for the 'Sunderalla (sic) Suns,' the 'Purple Gang' or 'Planet Orange,' you now can discuss everything from Steve Nash to Charles Barkley to Connie Hawkins in our new 'Fan Hub.'"

Sounded promising in an e-mail, kind of like the former finance minister of Gabon wanting to send me money. So I clicked in and was excited to see "Front Office Answers: Suns President of Bball Ops Lon Babby, President of Business Ops Brad Casper and GM Lance Blanks answered some of the most frequently asked questions submitted by fans via Suns.com." Alas, apparently the fans on Suns.com frequently ask different questions than I frequently ask. I would not, for example, have wasted dozens of bytes of precious server space asking "What is the incentive for season-ticket holders to renew their tickets?" The answers were equal to the questions. My favorite line was this, in a question about the strategy for getting back to the Western Conference Finals (as if that's the ultimate goal): "youth must balance experience; offense must be in balance with defense." Thanks Mr. B. I guess that explains Hedo Turkoglu. If you want to see what a junior marketing associate with a Glendale College degree can write under the names of three NBA team executives, I invite you to go here.
