Yeahh... I don't really want to see MVSteve out of town. He's the guy I started rooting for the Suns, he sums pretty much the way I see this franchise with his humble, professional and sports loving attitude.

However I somehow got taken into all the rosterbation and thought about a trade that isn't here yet. It also doesn't seem anywhere near happening, but oh well, I guess there's too much time in my hands.

So, the plan is the following:

76ers get: Steve Nash, Marcin Gortat, 2nd rounder

Suns get: Jrue Holiday, Evan Turner, Nikola Vucevic, Andre Nocioni

Why would the 76ers do this? They become Pistons-like contenders. It wouldn't make them absolutely better than the Heat, but they would have a balanced, experienced and talented starting 5 in Nash, Meeks, Iggy, Brand and Gortat and (to me) the best bench in the league with Lou Williams, Thad Young and Spencer Hawes backing these guys up. They also get rid of Nocioni's contract.

Why they wouldn't do it? It's true that Evan Turner hasn't live up to the expectations, but he still has loads of potential. Jrue and Vucevic are two other guys I can see making good careers as starters, and while I can't see either become Superstars, I don't know if I'd trade them knowing Nash will probably stop playing in 2/3 years max.

Why the Suns do this? I can't imagine a better trade than this. Jrue and Evan could be our new backcourt, giving us two ball-handlers that can score, and Vucevic can become pretty much what Gortat is for us now (the kid is a really good defender). High chances are we probably suck the rest of the way but we'd have a good pick in a good draft that would give us yet another guy with potential.

Why the Suns wouldn't do it? Nocioni's contract is horrible and ends only in 2013. That would take us out of this years' FA. Even in 2014 I can't see us be major contenders giving we'd have to resign Jrue, so we could get stuck in mediocrity with a lot of role players.

It probably is a lopsided trade, maybe if we take Jrue out of the deal it's more likely to happen, but there's my two cents.
