Grant Hill: Start Him or Not?

Well, it looks like Grant Hill may be returning to play for the Suns as early as Friday (but probably next week). And with his return, Coach Alvin Gentry and the Suns are faced with an interesting decision: should Hill be placed back into the starting lineup, or should he come off the bench?

I can make a good case for either decision. Certainly Hill belongs in the starting rotation, and would feel much more comfortable adapting to such a role when he comes back. In addition, if it's a question of playing him too many minutes, you can easily pull him from the game after 8-10 minutes, and only insert him back into the game if absolutely necessary.

However, with the way Shannon Brown is playing, one can make a strong case for leaving the starting lineup the way it is now -- and only putting Hill in the lineup when you need his defense or when Brown, Dudley, or Frye is in foul trouble. When it ain't broke, don't fix it. And right now, it ain't broke.

Personally, I'd vote for the latter -- but I have a feeling that Gentry will insert Hill back into the starting lineup.

What do you think the Suns should do when Hill returns from his injury?
