Suns have had quite a busy off-season this year, officially entering the rebuilding mode with all of the Nash business, free agent signings, and the rest of the things that go on during the summer. But as we all know, we're not done yet. Three spots remain on our roster as of today. We swung and missed on OJ Mayo and Eric Gordon, and also missed the opportunity to land Courtney Lee as he was acquired by the Celtics in a sign-and-trade for Jajuan Johnson, E'Twaun Moore, Sean Williams, and a 2013 second rounder. So the question we all have on our minds is, who could be the next target, and how soon will it happen? Hit the jump for my predictions.
.We all know Shannon Brown is on our list, as he is now likely our more suitable option. But is he really our only option? Suns clearly made it known that they aren't interested in Randy Foye, as they opted not to do a sign-and-trade with the Grant Hill situation which could've landed him for us. Could Jodie Meeks be another option? The 6' 4" shooting guard from Philly could be a plausible option in our lineup. Or could a trade happen? With the recent acquisition of power forward Luis Scola, the Suns' front court seems to be overloaded. Trading Channing Frye would be a solution to the problem, as he is taking the backup role that Markieff Morris deserves. Plus, Frye is due to earn a $5.6 million paycheck this season in the second year of his 5 year, $30 million contract. If someone would be willing to take in Frye's contract, and possibly one of the draft picks the Lakers gave us, who knows who we could get. I believe Morris is an overall better player than Frye. Anything that Channing can do, Markieff has proved he can do just as well. Plus, Markieff has a post game which in Frye seems to be non-existent. Tell me what you think Suns fans.
