I found an article on the home page of NBA.com that claims Steve Nash had no idea the Suns were planing on moving on without him. Really? Most Suns' fans were well aware that the Suns' FO was more than likely going into this offseason with the idea that they needed to aggressively move to a rebuilding step (and it probably did not include Nash).
Here is the article; Nash 'Didn't See' Suns Exit Coming. To me, this sounds like Nash trying to blame the FO for his move to the Suns rival; the LA Lakers. When in reality it seems insane that Nash could possibly try to spin it in that light. Yes, most Phoenix fans have been angry with the FO for several seasons (and reasons) but that doesn't mean that they will believe that they didn't give Nash any indication that they were going to move on.
Nash has received a lot of criticism from Suns' fans for his choosing of LA already, and rightfully so considering that he claimed loyalty to the Suns franchise for the better part of a decade and then decided to ride off into the Lakers' purple and gold sunset. But now claiming that the Suns' FO is the largest reason for his departure seems like a very coward like move to explain to the clamoring fans that feel stabbed in the back.
Personally, I was willing to root for Nash for any other team in the league for him to win his first title (I was even warming up to a Dirk-Nash reunion in Dallas). I was disappointed and heart-broken that he chose LA, and now on top of that he is putting false blame on the Suns FO. Good luck Nash, you've lost a lot of fans and supporters with your recent decisions.
