My beloved Suns. We continue to make one blunder after another. We let Steve go for nothing. We let SEVERAL players go for nothing, or very little in return. First, Jerry Colangelo, please, for the love of all that is Suns nation, come home. If not Jerry, then this owner needs to show he has much better judgement. Mr. Sarver, you want to know how to win? Hire winners, PROVEN winners, to run your organization. Lance Blanks, while a decent fellow, is the equivalent of what the Denver Broncos had when they had Tim Tebow. Nice guy, but not John Elway, (and now Peyton), and when you are talking about the Broncos, that is the bar for all Bronco fans. Same thing here. You HAVE to hire winners if you want to win. There are some great coaches and excellent front office personnel that are coming available (think San Antonio, that godless heathen team) and Miami. Both have excellent, and I mean excellent, front offices. The Suns. We are the Elgin Baylor Clippers right now. Get a good player, surround him with scrubs, sign has beens, trade your best player after a couple of years of obvious futility, start over. That is us right now. Why? Vision. Lance Banks and even Sarver, are newbies. Sarver surrounded himself with himself, not basketball people. What an egotistical p#$@%. There are several models to follow when you find your team aging and its current rosters best years behind them. Again, think Oklahoma. Great draft staff, development squad second to none, excellent coaching, mix of young and veterans. And now, back to our team. M Beasley, proven track record and its not a winning one. Basically, from the front office down that is common. In summation, we want a GM with a proven record, or highly recommended, and from a winning organization to build with. Same with a coach. Not giving Dan Marjele a shot was just downright stupid. Period. Anyway, I digress, same with a coach. We do not need a project or a wild card. We need a proven winner. So, Mr Sarver, please, sit down, hire some people who are proven winners at each, and get out of their way. Learn from them. Call Jerry Colangelo first. Call Phil freakin Jackson. Go big. We need to build on a solid foundation, a solid proven winning foundation.
