Time to "Melo" Out?

Carmelo Anthony seemed to change overnight from a gunner to a true NBA star at the 2012 Olympiad, where he led the USA to the gold. He was talking free agencyin preseason and now his Knicks are off to a 2-4 start. They were just plastered 120-89 by the Spurs in a listless effort that was even worse than the score.

As Anthony hears boos from the not so cordial MSG fans, I wonder if he contemplates beingin a place where the players run and shoot and support each other. A place where the fans embrace players no matter what the final score.A place where he would always be option A in crunch time. A place like Phoenix.

Is Anthony the kind of star player that Ryan is willing to go after in a sign and trade scenario?

It's enough to put one writer into a reverie...

April 2016; US Airways Center.

Final minuet. Archie Goodwin helps off of Jamal Crawford and forces Chris Paul into a tough teardrop that rolls off the rim and is scooped one handed by Alex Len. The two handed outlet hits Goran in stride at midcourt, the Dragon finds Melo in the left corner for a three. The series turns...

Could the Suns pry Melo from the beleaguered hands of new Knick GM Steve Mills?

Ryan needs to find out who Mills and/or James Dolan covet in the draft and in the league. This draft has more future starters in it than any in the last decade.

It may seem far fetched, but with the Suns wealth of draft picks and creative basketball staff, it's a lot more feasible than it has been in the last half decade that the Suns could land a star player like Carmelo.

Question to Bright Siders: If Eric Bledsoe is giving us 18 points, seven assists and 2 steals per game, do you consider offering him in a deal for Carmelo?
