Brook Lopez?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=kymh95a

Nets also get the Suns 2014 pick lottery protected and unprotected Pacers pick.

This guy always seems to be injured, but when he plays he is a scoring machine. Average rebounder and defender.

He seems like a high character person from what I've read about him.

Why the Nets would do this trade:

Picks and youth.

There isn't another team (with the exception of the Knicks) with a massive payroll and nobody producing. Since they threw out all of their picks and assets to get PP and KG, they have nothing left worth keeping. Len has a lot of potential, and could become a good starting center. But, the Nets really need these picks to continue growing as a franchise. They want to blow it all up, and this would be the first move in doing so. Lopez is a good player, but if I were the Nets, I'd take these picks in a heartbeat to start the rebuild and move on from an injury prone player.

Why the Suns would do this trade:

(Injury Prone) All Star + Magic Medical Staff = Success

The Suns biggest need is an elite player in the front court, and they get just that in Brook Lopez. He can score the ball in the paint and has a nice touch from mid range. The Suns are willing to package picks to get a "star." Lopez would be a good piece to make the playoffs and hopefully make a run. The medical staff would have no problem fixing him and all of his injuries, and most likely prevent him from having more in the future.

Sorry for the crummy post, but I just thought of this off my head and I didn't have much time to write it out.

Am I overvaluing him? Am I undervaluing him? Feedback is appreciated.
