We've managed to poke holes in every trade rumor out there. Either the player is too expensive . . . or not talented enough . . . . or they're both, which would damage our draft pick!
There is, however, a trade out there that hits every single sweet point:
Celtics get: Goran Dragic, Marcin Gortat, Sebastian Telfair, Jermaine O'Neal, Mempis pick.
Why do they do it? Rumor has it, the C's are open to trading Rondo, and this is a pretty good return. They are fully loaded for playoff runs in 13/14. I think this makes them immediately the 2nd best team in the east. After 14, they will have loads of cap space to rebuild.
Why do they do it? Suns get a top 15-20 player in the L, another talent in Avery Bradley, clear more cap space . . . and still get a high draft pick this year! Rondo's out, and I would bring back Bradley very slowly, if not shut him down completely. Suns get to run out the youngins (hell, start Marshall-Garret-Johnson-Beasley-Morris) and tank like hell.
Who says no?
