Who is to blame with the current demise of our beloved purple & orange? This simple story will enlighten us on how & why should we be proactive.
"This is a story about four people: Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it. Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when actually Nobody asked Anybody."
Humor me. The moral lesson is that nothing happened because no one took a leadership role in the important job to be done. Tasks are accomplished when somebody (not the Somebody in our story) takes ownership of an issue and master its completion. Any of the 4 people in the story above could have taken accountability & become the leader, but no one did. So even though all the jobs appeared to be covered by the 4 people above, no one was a leader. Problem is, this type of situation happens obviously in Planet Orange.
Now that we have a better understanding of effective leadership, Nobody will be left behind, Anybody can come to us for guidance, Somebody will now reach their potential and Everybody will be happy.
Suns for life :-)
