Solar Flares Is Back!

Many times conversations will stray off-topic to the point to where it's not even about basketball anymore. When that happens it's best to take it to another thread and that's what Solar Flares is for, so we're gonna give this another shot.

Anyone can write a Solar Flare post and it should only take about 5 minutes. Just enough words to reach the requirement is all that needs to be written. The staff will post it on the front page, so it can gain attention. They'll worry about putting in a picture as it needs to be from the SBNation library anyway.

Now, when a Solar Flare post should be made is the topic we need to discuss. Writing one for every week is unnecessary. When it becomes unnoticeable is when a new one should be made, so how do you guys want to do this? A new one after it's been pushed to the very bottom of the front page or till it's no longer on the front page or a new one when it's no longer on the fanpost bar (to your right on the homepage below the advertisement)? I guess we'll see. If anyone thinks a new one needs to be written then they can go ahead and do it.

Now here's a link to Kobe's injury: http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/9050293/kobe-bryant-los-angeles-lakers-indefinitely-severe-ankle-sprain

In case no one has yet to read the news, Kobe busted his ankle pretty bad, though test were negative (which means good in Doctor talk). He says its his worst injury in years. What do you think? Nothing, but hype to further establish his legacy or is he being honest? Does this increase the Lakers chances of missing the playoffs?
