Ok so the draft is tomorrow, and the top 5 picks are still up in the air. Who should we get? We should first address our biggest need... Shooting guard. I know that McLemore is the top pick for the 2 spot, and Oladipo is the second, but I think we should take a chance on a less likely name at number 5.Ben McLemore: A very strong shooter with a high vertical and is very athletic. McLemore might be an amazing player, or he might be a bust. I see bust potential in him. And also we have not had the best luck with Kansas players (Beasley and Morris's). He is a good prospect but I see him as a risk, also evident by his draft stock falling. Victor Oladipo: High-energy, extremely defensive oriented player that can shoot the ball but has not shown much else (ability to create his own shot or passing) besides athleticism. He can help out our struggling defense A LOT and seems like a better choice than McLemore since next year we can get an offensive player in the draft. I like Oladipo's energy and he will definitely be able to make the Suns watchable again. CJ McCollum: I like McCollum even with our 5th pick. He has superstar potential and has the highest ceiling out of the shooting guards (IMO). He can shoot like crazy, dribble, create his own shot, play defense, pass, and is a hard worker. He is a true studier of the game and really knows about the Suns. He has had great interviews and would be a great fit for us. By the way, doesn't he remind you of someone that should've been a Sun on 2009 draft day? (Steph Curry) Or maybe he could be like the previous rookie of the year (Lillard). Both of these players a great comparisons and I think CJ McCollum should be our guy at number 5. Tell me what you guys think about my thoughts and tell me if you think any other player would be realistically available and better at number 5... Thanks!
