2014 Draft

I have looked at possible draft selections that we could make in June (even though its a long way). I believe Mr. McDonough will trade 2 picks for something better (a player, better draft position who knows). I have picked out two players (from using our pick and the Wizards pick).

Wizards pick: Doug McDermott

McDermott shows that he can flat out score. Scores from anywhere, from the low post to high post areas to shooting amazing number from three. I know he has regressed a little in his shot percentage, that is due to the rise in field goal attempts.

He would contribute straight away to our team as he provides efficient scoring and knows when to take a good shot. and could effectively be that 3rd consistent scorer that we need.

With his scoring ability he can take a lot of pressure of our point guards as they can rely on someone who can hit shots 'consistently'.

Suns Pick: Semaj Christon

I think most brightsiders may have not heard or have seen Christon play. This kid knows how to ball, and fits our system extremely well both in the open court and the half court setting. In our half court setting we constantly see a high pick and roll and Dragic or Bledsoe penetrates the basket and score or dish out to an open team mate. This kid excels at this, and one of the best if not the best driver in college (in relation to point guards).

The thing that impresses me the most is his willingness to improve. You can not improve your shot like that from luck, he shows that he has great character like someone we know, our young guard Archie Goodwin.

It would be interesting to see what you guys think of these players in the comments below, share your opinions and other choices you would make!!!
