So Kobe is not happy with the Lakers front office for trading a veteran point guard for two younger players. Is anybody surprised at this?
Maybe Kobe does not realize that he is no longer among the top four or five players in the league. He is now on All-Star emeritus. He still looks and sounds like the star that he recently was. But he's no longer a guy that's going to win playoff series for you.
Mitch Kupchak or whoever is eventually running the front office for the Lake Show has a right to do his job without the unsolicited feedback of a former superstar. Maybe Steve Blake lights it up for the Warriors and helps them win the title. Maybe Marshon Brooks turns into a serviceable backup like Darren Collison. Whatever happens, the Lakers should take about as much notice of Kobe Bryant's opinion as they take of mine. It is in the best interest of the Lakers and their fans that they continue to remake their franchise. As great as Kobe Bryant has been, there is no doubt he knows this also.
