Phoenix Suns limit Goran Dragic to just 3 of 11 warm-up games prior to World Cup

Before I can write anything else I need to have a little rant. You see, the Suns are limiting Goran Dragić with a bunch of restrictions while with the Slovenian National Team, most of which I understand & accept (can practice only once a day, has individual training, staying behind when his team mates are playing in China..). But this last one I heard about today is just ughh.

Out of about 14 friendly pre-games to the World Cup the Suns are allowing him to play in only 3. That's 11 practice games where our young team will practice without its core player. Only 3 games to prepare for the World Cup with a team which will have at least five new players on the roster. Not going into what this does to our odds.

And then there's this: They decided only one of the 3 games will be played in Slovenia. And rant.

Come on already Suns Whoevermadethisdecision. Out of the 6 games (pre-games to WC) the team is playing in Slovenia this year, the 6 possible times we could have watched the Dragon dazzle live, without taking a trip to another country/continent, you're taking 5 away! Are you kidding me?! They limit him to only 3 pre-games & make only ONE of them be in Slovenia? Did no one in the meeting where this was decided think: "Hey, maybe we should let him play in his home country more than once a year". Doesn't matter fans want to see him play here, nooo, gotta limit as much as possible. The most rational part of me understands that he should probably play in the pre-game in Spain against USA, for marketing purposes or something. But why is that precious other game in Lithuania, is there some Goran Dragić fan club there that I don't know about?

Why do you hate us Suns Whoevermadethisdecision?

To end on a more positive note: Still looking forward to seeing the non-restricted part of our team beat Canada on Thursday.

UPDATE: Won the game 92:80! :D Also, met Goran Dragić and Steve Nash, that kind made up for the Dragon Dazzleless game.

UPDATE 2: Won 2nd game vs Georgia, 95:68. Allowed only 2pts in 2nd qt.
