PHOENIX SUNS WAITING TO EXHALE

With all the hoopla over Eric Bledsoe this past month, those of us who are true Suns fans haven't taken the time to really savor this past season. More importantly, we haven't had the opportunity to truly look forward to all the possibilities awaiting the team this coming season.

I am very excited about this summer's acquisitions (in particular, Thomas, Warren and Ennis) and the re-signing of PJ Tucker (DUI notwithstanding). If Bledsoe returns, the combination of Dragic, Bledsoe and Thomas will literally run several teams off the courts and out of their arenas this year. In addition, with streaking wing players such as Green, Goodwin and Warren, Phoenix will literally be running teams to death AND/OR shooting the lights out all season long. I also look forward to the addition of Anthony Toliver and the continued development of the Morii, Alex Len, and Miles Plumlee. Furthermore, I think McDonough is working on a mini Block-buster trade for a power forward to help with the interior defense and rebounding. I don't believe Greg Monroe is that option.

As far as Eric, he will either 1) take the best offer he can get from Phoenix and get back to work as soon as possible, 2) force a sign and trade or 3) play out his option year and wait for unrestricted free agency in 2015. If a trade is the best option, I trust Ryan won't be giving Eric away for chopped liver. I'm sure he will get at least a legitimate power forward (Horford, Milsap - Atlanta) or an up-and-coming power forward, a back-up point guard (e.g., Henson and Wolters - Milwaukee) plus a draft pick in the process. Again, if Bledsoe is to be traded, I believe the two best choices (both coincidentally in the Eastern Conference), are Atlanta and Milwaukee.

Ennis should develop nicely in the D League and be ready to be the first point guard off the bench if Bledsoe decides to move on elsewhere next year.

The bottom line is I have faith in Ryan McDonough's management and player evaluation abilities. He will find the best players at the right price who will mesh with the Suns' organizational culture. I also have 100% faith in Coach Hornacek! He will get the most out of the players and they will have an even better season this year than last.

For now, I will continue to think positive, be patient and expect the best. Its all Good! Enjoy the rest of your summer. Go Suns!!!
