The Phoenix Suns Don't Need the Best Offer to Get Kevin Love

That's right. They just need Lebron James. It's simple. Never has there been a free agent more powerful than Lebron. If he signs with the Suns then they hold all the cards. That's just the result of having flexibility and the greatest player on your team. "How will that help with getting Kevin Love", you might say? Think about it.

Suns officials understand the bid will be something of a long shot, but are determined to get a meeting with James to convince him how the possibilities of two full max contracts, a roster stocked with talented, young players and the chance to pick the superstar free-agent partner of his choice ought to make Phoenix one of his most appealing suitors. - Wojnarowski

If James says he wants Carmelo Anthony then Melo is going to be more than willing to wait for the Suns to make room for him. With Kevin Love it's a bit more complicated, but not impossible. If James says he wants Love then the Suns will push hard for Love and when that happens, everybody will know it and most importantly, Kevin Love will know it. The opportunity to play with Lebron James, Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe in a historically, successful franchise is too good to pass up. Kevin Love will want to be on the Phoenix Suns and because of that he will tell the Warriors, the Bulls and the Celtics that he won't commit to them which leaves the Wolves with two options: Either trade him to the Suns or let him walk in the off-season. You see, all Lebron has to do is say the word and it's practically done.

Yeah, it sounds too good to be true, but it isn't.

Just imagine this happening for moment. Here you have all these teams laying out the red carpet for the top free agents while the Suns are just sitting there, nice and calm... AND THEN BAM! Lebron announces his decision to sign with the Phoenix Suns and that he wants them to get Melo or Love and suddenly the Suns have obtained the biggest players on the market. Would that not be the greatest coup in NBA history? Is that not the Phoenix Suns intentions? According to Woj it is.

What they're doing is similar to how a Great White Shark hunts their prey. As soon as they spot that seal, they dive deeper and deeper into the silent, dark depths of the sea... only to come BURSTING OUT OF THE OCEAN with a seal in its jaws and blood drizzling down its teeth.
