This ain't the NFL, we sign Bledsoe to big money and we have him for better or worse, sickness and in health.
This health thing has me worried......that knee of his. Could this be a Dwayne Wade situation where we only have his services part time? Can that parts-missing knee really take the pounding of an NBA schedule? Bledsoe's game is quickness......he is a sports car that relies on his suspension to be in top form. If he loses just a step, he isn't the player we signed for the big money. Anybody else worried about his health?
The irony of this is the Suns are financially able to make some big moves but their decision making is contingent on what they decide to do about Bledsoe. It may be that other teams will be gun shy about Bledsoe's knee and not offer him max money.
Look at Chicago Bulls with Derrick Rose the last few years....the franchise has been hamstrung. If we were to pass on a big contract for Bledsoe, I wouldn't feel all that bad. I have faith in the Sun's braintrust to come up with a solution.
