Ok, so there was some random text last night talking about trade talks between the Suns and Pacers concerning our beloved Dragic. It sounded initially like the Pacers were quickly rebuffed by the front office since they have nothing we really want that we could not sign outright in free agency. This would namely be Lance Stephenson. Again, we can sign him outright as a free agent if we even wanted him. Nothing else they have even remotely interests me or, I am sure, Ryan McDonough and our front office. Obviously we would love to have Paul George, but that is just as cray-cray coming back the other way. And right now I would much rather have Plumlee and Len over Hibbert, and it's not even close. On Indy Corn Rows they are talking about George Hill as a trade target to become our sixth off of the bench. Really, George Hill. Take on a larger contract for someone with half the production.
Nothing seems to fit and you would think this thing has no legs. However, there seems to be a lot of steam behind from national media. Now granted it is from ESPN and Marc Stein, who is slightly more reliable than Broussard (insert Mempis pic here). Then we see this tweet
REPORT: The Suns, Celtics, and Pacers are discussing a 3-way trade that involves Dragic and Rondo.— All Day NBA (@_AllDayNBA) July 3, 2014
What! Not even sure who that is. What would this even look like. I know McD has roots in Boston and loves him some Rondo, but is that really enough. What else is there, if anything that could be had in this deal? Could it be in the larger context of acquire Love or some other free agent? Please bring me down off of the ledge with some rational discussion.
