When Suns Fans Say Josh Jackson is a Perfect Fit and Jayson Tatum is too much like Warren

Are we watching the same team and the same players?

How is Josh Jackson a good fit but Tatum a bad fit?

Jackson compounds the problem that the Suns already have with his lack of shooting. We would be adding a 3rd small forward who is a liability from 3pt-range to a team that is already one of the worst 3pt-shooting teams in the entire league.

Now Tatum and Warren could first of all play together as Tatum has great size and Warren also has done well as a small power forward in stretches. Also Tatum has shown way more as a shooter than Warren, the similarities are not really there. They have some things in common but hardly a bad thing, TJ Warren is a very good player.

Tatum is a full year younger than Jackson, has no off-court issues and projects as a very good shooter going forward. That is something the Suns could use very much. His defense has not been as bad as some pundit like Chad Fraud claim. His advanced defensive stats are actually rivaling Josh Jackson and he is an underrated athlete.

I wouldn't be surprised if Josh Jackson drops on draft day much like Justise Winslow or Stanley Johnson did both who had a lot of hype after their college seasons.

The floor on Jackson is much lower than on Tatum.
