Suns may be without Raja tonight

Just saw this on AZCentral. Raja Bell's wife is in labor, so it sounds like a possibility he'll miss tonight. Hopefully, the Suns can rediscover last year's Game 6 magic, and get it done without him. And just so I'll meet the 300 character limit: Personally I think he should miss the game regardless. As much as I want to see the Suns win, family has to come first. (Of course, that may just be the female in me talking...).

Poll
If you were Raja Bell facing an important game in the playffs and you wife was in labor you would...

even if he plays
Raja will not be able to focus on the game, even if the baby has already arrived. What a big moment for Raja! I hope he enjoys it, and forgets about basketball for one day.  I am sure the Suns can win even without him. They did it last year in one game. They can do it this year.

Raja Jr.
I'd rather not give the Lakers any hope that they might win without Raja there to defend Kobe, so hopefully Raja will make it to the game.  Congrats in advance to Cindy and Raja and baby Bell.

Congrats in advance.....
I can see the baby coming out....close lining the doc for slapping him (i.e. Kobe)...lol.

Oh yeah the game.....
its not like we haven't won without Mr. Bell before...this is a team sport, let Kobe get his...he isn't scoring 100 or more points on his own, just make it tough on everybody else....whatcha think?

Sounds like Raja may play
Somebody just posted on phxsuns.net that they heard on the radio that Raja's wife had the baby and that he's planning to play tonight. Not seeing anything on AZCentral or otherwise to confirm, so take with a grain of salt for now.

Thanks Jason!
My internet connection was about to get KO'ed by a thunderstorm, so I didn't have time to do anymore search before posting. :) Thanks for giving us the latest!

Did Raja say he named his son Dia?
Dia as in Spanish for Day?  I couldn't understand what he said even though I rewound it several times.

I saw that on AZCentral too.
I can't find the link right now, but I saw that earlier today that the baby was named "Dia". Maybe it was EVT or Suns.com instead. I definitely saw "Dia Bell" somewhere. Not sure if he had the Spanish word in mind or not, but I think that's the baby's name, regardless.

Dia
Dia is Raja's middle name. It means champion in West African.

Diaw?
On TV it sounded awfully close to 'Diaw'. I wondered if Raja had named his son after his team mate? I did not think Boris and Raja were such great friends.

Dia- the champion sounds good. Hopefully, soon he can hold the championship trophy in his tiny hands.
