Toronto exercises option on Bargnani

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Toronto has exercised its fourth year team option on Andrea Bargnani. The Raptors had until October 31 to exercise their option on the seven-foot forward.
Bargnani, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2006 NBA draft, averaged 10.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 78 games during the 2007-08 campaign. In the 2008 playoffs, he posted 6.4 points in five contests.
The 23-year-old Bargnani has played in 143 games during his career, and has registered 10.8 points and 3.8 boards per contest. He is shooting 40.5 percent from the field, including 35.9 percent from beyond the arc.
