Celtics exercise option on Rondo

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Boston Celtics exercised their fourth-year option on point guard Rajon Rondo on Friday.
In his second year out of Kentucky, Rondo averaged 10.6 points, 5.1 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.68 steals in 29.9 minutes per game for the NBA champion Celtics last season.
The 22-year-old point guard averaged 10.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game in the playoffs as the Celtics won their first title since 1986.
