Recap: Houston vs. New Orleans

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Yao Ming scored 21 points, and Tracy McGrady added 18 points and nine rebounds as Houston beat New Orleans, 91-82.
Luis Scola contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Ron Artest ended with 10 points and seven assists. Von Wafer also scored 10 in the win, as the Rockets bounced back from a two-point loss at San Antonio on Friday. That was the finale of a 10-day road trip for the Rockets.
Chris Paul had 12 points and 12 assists for the Hornets, but shot an awful 2- of-10 from the field. David West led the way with 18 points and 10 rebounds for New Orleans, which has lost two straight road contests. Tyson Chandler had 16 points and Devin Brown scored 13 in a reserve role.
Consecutive three-pointers by Aaron Brooks and McGrady moved the Rockets to a 21-14 lead and they carried a five-point edge going to the second quarter.
Yao hit a pair of technical free throws that culminated 11 straight Houston points for a 44-29 cushion with 3 1/2 minutes left in the half. The difference was 48-36 at the half.
The Hornets faced an uphill battle, but never threatened in the second half. Luther Head's three-ball increased the lead to 70-52 with 2 1/2 minutes remaining in the third quarter, and Houston kept a comfortable distance in the last 12 minutes.
Houston went 25-of-28 at the foul line...The Rockets had 14 turnovers to only eight for the Hornets, who have lost three of their last four games at the Toyota Center.
