Recap: Philadelphia vs. LA Clippers

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Elton Brand scored 17 points, and made the go-ahead jumper with 57.9 seconds left, to propel Philadelphia to an 89-88 win over his former team, the Los Angeles Clippers.
Brand, who played with LA for seven years but signed with the Sixers in the offseason, also had eight rebounds. Thaddeus Young also had 17 points for Philadelphia, which has won four of five.
Andre Iguodala contributed 14 points, 12 assists and six boards for the Sixers, whose starting five all scored in double-figures.
Al Thornton finished with 22 points and nine rebounds for the Clippers, who were without the services of Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas. The duo was part of a trade Friday with the Knicks, in which Los Angeles got Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins.
Baron Davis added 18 points, while Chris Kaman had 17 points and nine boards for the Clippers, who have lost four of five and are just 2-10 this season.
The Sixers trailed by only a few points to start the fourth quarter, but a layup from Thornton and three-point play from Kaman with 6 1/2 minutes to go gave the Clippers an 83-75 lead.
Los Angeles maintained a multiple-possession lead for the next three minutes, and a Thornton free throw gave the Clippers an 86-80 advantage. But with 2 1/2 minutes to play, Iguodala deposited an off-balance layup and made the subsequent free throw to bring the Sixers within three.
On the other end, Kaman was stripped of the ball and the Sixers went on a fast break, resulting in an Andre Miller free throw. Davis came back with a fadeaway jumper, but Miller then drilled a three from the right side of the arc to trim Philadelphia's deficit to just 88-87 with 1 1/2 minutes on the clock.
Davis again got the ball for the Clippers, but his jumper from the same side of the floor hit the backboard, and he tried to save the possession by grabbing the ball before it hit out of bounds. Instead, his in-the-air pass went to the Sixers, who sprinted downcourt.
Iguodala got possession, but was wildly out of control dribbling in the lane, managing to hang on until he found Brand open along the left baseline. Brand hit the jumper for an 89-88 lead with 57.9 ticks left.
Clippers rookie Eric Gordon then tried to drive, but had the ball swiped by Iguodala. Brand tried another jumper, but the airball fell into the Clippers' hands with 16.1 seconds left.
But Davis' drive into the lane was met by numerous Sixers, and his shot was off the mark. The ball bounced around out of any player's possession until the clock ran out, sealing the Philadelphia win.
The Sixers built up a 28-16 lead at the end of the first quarter, but LA came back to take a 49-46 halftime edge. The third quarter ended with the Clippers ahead 72-69.
Miller had 13 points for the Sixers, while Samuel Dalembert added 11 and eight rebounds...The Clippers have lost 11 of their last 12 at the Wachovia Center...Davis committed seven turnovers, but had six assists and four steals...Dalembert and Iguodala each had four steals.
