Recap: Boston vs. Golden State

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Ray Allen scored 25 points, leading the Boston Celtics to a 119-111 victory over the Golden State Warriors at TD Banknorth Garden.

Rajon Rondo had 22 points, seven assists and eight rebounds, while Paul Pierce added 21 points -- including 9-of-9 from the free throw line -- for the Celtics, who have won six straight. Kevin Garnett added 21 points and 13 rebounds in the victory, and Kendrick Perkins had nine points and eight rebounds.

Corey Maggette scored a game-high 32 points for the Warriors, who have lost four straight and are 0-3 on their five-game road trip. Stephen Jackson had 30 points and six assists, and newcomer Jamal Crawford added 18 points. Andris Biedrins had eight points and nine rebounds in the loss, while C.J. Watson contributed 10 points.

Maggette's three in the early minutes of the fourth gave Golden State a 91-90 lead, but Pierce hit a couple free throws to tilt the lead back in Boston's favor. The teams traded baskets, and Jackson's three gave the Warriors a 98-97 edge with 8 1/2 minutes to play.

Crawford added another three to increase the lead to four, but Ray Allen answered with a three of his own for Boston. Tony Allen's three-point play put the Celtics in front, and Garnett's three-point play stretched the lead to four.

After Rondo scored to make it 108-102, Jackson got the Warriors back to within four with a couple free throws. But Tony Allen hit a layup, and Ray Allen hit a three soon after to boost the lead to nine with 3 1/2 minutes to play, and the Celtics cruised from there.

Ray Allen and Garnett led the Celtics with 10 points apiece in the first quarter, and Boston held a 35-28 advantage after the opening period. Jackson led all scorers with 12 in the frame for Golden State.

Down 40-30, the Warriors went on a 24-6 run to take a six-point lead. Maggette had 11 points on the burst, and Biedrins added another four to help Golden State go up 54-46. The Warriors outscored the Celtics, 39-19, in the quarter to take a 67-54 lead into the break.

Boston started chipping away at Golden State's lead, eventually taking the lead on the heels of a 16-5 run to go up 82-81. Rondo had 10 points during the run, making 4-of-5 shots during the surge. The Celtics were able to hold the lead and take an 84-83 advantage to the fourth quarter.

The teams split last season's series, 1-1, with the home team taking each meeting...The host has won nine of the last 10 contests...Golden State will play at Cleveland and at New York to finish out its road trip...Despite the loss, the Warriors have won 4-of-6 with the Celtics...Ray Allen shot 5-of-7 from three-point range...Boston's Glen Davis and Tony Allen each scored nine points in the win...Both teams were outstanding at the free throw line, with Boston converting 32-of-36 shots, while Golden State made 26-of-33.
