Live Blogging the Draft

There are several places that are live-blogging the draft tonight.  Golden State of Mind is one of them.  Blazer's Edge is another.

The one I'm participating in is the ESPN live draft blog.

The premise is each team blogger selected writes one sentence about who they would pick in their team's spot while their team is on the clock.  Then after the team selects a player, the blogger provides one sentence about the pick the team decided to do.

It should be a lot of fun.  Check out the different sites if you're looking for info and blogger opinions.

Thanks
ESPN had some major problems with the site right as the draft was starting.  Not sure if there were just too many people going to the site or if something else went wrong but it is fixed now.  The Suns are about 6 picks away.

unfortunately
looks like trading both picks to the clippers and getting noah at 14 isn't going to happen. Who is this finish guy?

Still not over yet , huh?
Wow... I thought with as late as I had to work, it would be over and done with by now. I've been checking in periodically, but I had a major project deadline to meet, so no time to "play", unfortunately. Oh well, as slowly as it seems to be going, I guess I may even have time to eat dinner before the Suns pick. :)

wow what an anticlimax
they sold the pick to paul allen. Maybe they sold it for enough money to pay the lux-tax though, so it could be good news.

Disgusting!
I can't f*ng believe this! The Suns sold the #24 pick to Portland when so many good players were still available. The Suns are becoming a team of over 30 years players.  I expect them to either get the #8 seed in the playoffs next year or not make the playoffs at all. That is just as good because may be they need to get in the lottery in order to actually use their draft pick.

Will the Suns NEVER draft a player in the first round?  I am so sick of Sarver forcing the team to sell draft picks for cash! This guy does not deserve to own a sports team.

SHAME on Sarver's Suns!!!

Huh?
Did the Suns trade Nash, Stoudemire AND Marion while I wasn't watching? Last I checked all three were still there. As long as Nash and either one of the other two are still around, I don't think we have to worry much about the Suns missing the playoffs altogether, barring some catastrophic injury.

did some other suns blog
hijack your resopnse? This could get ugly.

Wow... Just wow...
The absolute last thing I was expecting was another draft pick sale. In fact, I was more afraid the Suns would err on the other side of caution--i.e., just draft anybody to appease fans who are growing increasingly impatient with the draft pick dumps. I'm speachless that they traded a pick again. I hope there's more to it than meets the eye.

Building a dynasty?
We're really building a dynasty aren't we?  In Portland! :)  I'm reserving judgement, though, until I hear what the Suns got out of it.

NOTHING!
The Suns got nothing. The Blazers and Sonics got everything. Sarver should not own a sports team. He has ruined our Suns.

I had feared that he may sell a draft pick again- and to see him sell it for $3 million which is like pocket change to him was unbearable. Portland should send him a Thank you gift.
