Free Agent Updates Part 3

Very quiet news day, so this seemed like a good time to check out the latest free agent signings. Lots of new ones in the last couple of days. Here are the latest since my previous list and my original list.

Matt Bonner - Staying with Spurs (in addition to Jacque Vaughn who already made my previous list)
Gerald Wallace - Staying with Bobcats (Somehow this one surprises me)
Devean George - Staying with Mavericks (No surprise there)
Darko Milicic - Moving to Grizzlies (Interesting)
Sean Marks - Staying with Suns (Best guess: The Suns must like this guy because he comes cheap and doesn't complain about just being a practice player. Wild, unfounded "conspiracy theory" guess: Maybe he has something on Mike D'Antoni?)

In related news, Dwight Howard received a 5-year, $85 million extension. Between this and the Rashard Lewis signing, it looks like the Magic aren't wasting any time putting their Darko Milicic and Grant Hill money to use.

It's not like the 12th man will ever be used so I suppose it really doesn't matter as long as he's still cheap.

Lewis' contract

I really can't think of any reason why Lewis should be paid that huge amount of money by the Magic. He's a GOOD player but he'll never be a great one, at least that's my opinion. I can't see him being THE player - the leader of a team - who can take the whole team to the next level. He's no Nash, Kobe nor Duncan.
Of course, being in the East it could mean the Magic win a round of the playoffs. Is it worth 110 M?
