Playing Nash in MVP at Charity Classic
Hi,
I found this site when I was surfing the web looking for Info. about Nash's Charity Game. I was the guy that beat Nash in a game of MVP(Horse). I was a little disappointed to read SueB's summary of my apperance as the 40ish rounding in the middle guy that beat Nash. Being that I recently lost about 45 pounds to have that said about me was a little disheartening. I am also not 40, only 35 and I am young enough looking that people don't believe me when I meet them and they learn that I am 35.
Anyway, just wanted to see if anybody was at the game and has video of me taking on Nash and beating him. I know it is a long shot, but I am hoping to get to see it. My wife filmed it but it didn't get, she is a little electroncally challenged.
It was a once in a lifetime experience for a basketball player that loves the sport and plays on a weekly basis. It felt great to be out there and Nash was cool and talking to me the whole time. He had a shot to win and took a hook shot from inside the foul line and missed. I then could basically take any shot I wanted to win, but I chose to take a NBA 3-pointer from the top of the key and I swished it through, like I did the other 2 shots I made from college 3-pt range.
Like I said it was a fun time and something I hope to get to see again.
Thanks, Dmgeist

Congrats, Dmgeist!!
Anyway, hope you get a video of it from somebody. I saw you shaking all the players' hands after the contest, and I was really jealous. That must've been a blast. Congrats again.

It's Cool SueB
The best thing was Nash and the look on his face when I made the NBA 3-pointer, he was surprised.
I know the guy beat him last year but they had a lot more shots, not sure if Steve took it easy on me, but it was just cool to make the shots I made in front of everyone.
It is going to be up on youtube eventually from what I am told, but I am just anxious to show friends and family.
In closing , Steve Nash is a class act and that is hard to find in athletes today.
