Day of Spurs Hate Begins

Those of you with small children will understand this, as they attempt to categorize the world, of prime importance are the ideas of who is the most powerful, who is whom's greatest enemy, etc.  As I teach my son the ways of Suns (and general NBA) fandom, who to root for and against, we've established this fact:  the Spurs are mighty, they've won the title more than once (including last year, of course), and they've ended the Suns season several times in the last few years, but the Suns most hated foe is and always will be the Lakers.  By the tender age of 5, he had grasped the central maxim of the Suns fan:  our 2 favorite teams are the Suns, and whoever is playing the Lakers.

That said, nothing warms the cockles of my heart like seeing that boring, clutching, grabbing, crotch-kicking band of whiners from Texas lose.  Here's hoping the Big Cactus plants a hip-bruise  on the silver and black tonite!    

Laker hatred that its passed down from geneartion to generation. As a laker fan that gave me a chuckle. Teams like the blazers and other teams have the same kind of devotion even when the lakers weren't as good.
Of course your team hasn't drafted (mostly sell picks and ignore rookies) in awhile so when your son grows up and nash has retired I don't envy the front office he'll have to deal with.
