Any transition requires an adjustment period and that was obvious in the first game against Seattle when despite a long training camp the Mercury were completely out of their offensive flow for large stretches of the contest...It will be interesting to watch the Mercury and see what lessons they've learned from the Suns as they move away from being a team that tries to run opponents off the court and win high-scoring contests to a team with a more balanced approach to the game.
I was in New York City last night for the game and Madison Square Garden was packed and Amar'e Stoudemire was there...I think it's really important because their support definitely carries over. I know in Phoenix, the Suns staff, the coaches, the players, they were always at our games. And I think it's good to have interaction with them. I really do think it's good for our league...Some of them buy into it more than others, that's for sure, but that's in any situation. But I think the guys that show up, it's because they want to be there.
