What line on the Phoenix Suns box score will tell you whether the Suns had a blowout?
A. Steve Nash gets 11 assists
B. Shawn Marion gets 20 rebounds
C. Amare Stoudemire gets 25 points
D. None of the Above
If you answered D, you are absolutely correct! The true answer is "Pat Burke plays 12 minutes, gets 5 rebounds and scores 6 points on 3-5 shooting with no 3 point shots."
Of course, with Kurt Thomas out for a few weeks that answer could change in the near future if Coach D'Antoni decides to play Burke during a close game, but I doubt it.
Yes, the Suns pulled off yet another win against an ailing opponent. This time it was the Minnesota Timberwolves without Kevin Garnett and Ricky Davis.
The Suns had a nice first quarter followed by a sub-part second quarter to start the game. I hope one of the assistant coaches wrote down whatever Mike D'Antoni said in the locker room because it certainly worked! The Suns scored 46 points and went on a 31-2 run to make it possible for Pat Burke to play 12 minutes in the 4th quarter.
Now the Suns head on a 5 game road trip. The first game is on Tuesday against the Washington Wizards - the same team who broke the Suns 15-game win streak last month. I'd like to say the Suns are out for some revenge and will kill the Wizards. But to be honest, you never know what is going to happen when you're playing Gilbert Arenas. But more on that game tomorrow.
