Suns Finally Put Away New York Knicks; Win 15th Straight

Wow, that was a lot closer than I would have liked.  It looks like the Suns really did think they could just put away the Knicks by stepping on the court.  Unfortunately for the Suns, it wasn't that easy.

But the Suns were good enough to go on a huge spurt in the 4th quarter and put the game away.  The Knicks tried to get back into it in the last 3 minutes but the the Suns stalled enough to win the game.

This game was frustrating to watch but it had to have been more frustrating to play or coach.  Mike D'Antoni looked like he was going to blow a gasket.  Raja Bell got a technical for shoving.

With Stephon Marbury in a suit, the Knicks really  did play well.  The Knicks had the same number of players in double figures that the Suns did.  Unfortunately for the Knicks, the Suns scored just a tiny bit more.

Amare Stoudemire had 30 points and 11 rebounds.  Steve Nash had 22 points and 14 assists.  Shawn Marion had 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Raja Bell had an absolutely miserable game tonight.  He played 42 minutes, shot 1-11 for the game, had 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 6 points.  I know Mike D'Antoni likes the players to keep shooting but maybe Raja should have stopped at around 8 shots instead of 11.

It looks like the Suns didn't shoot very well but if you take out Raja's shots, they actually shot 52%.  I love Raja and don't want to say too much about him playing poorly since all of the players are allowed a few poor games.

The bottom line is even though the Suns played poorly, they won the game.  They've won 15 games in a row.  And they play the Bucks on Friday night.
