Both AZCentral and East Valley Tribune are reporting that the Suns will hold an open practice on Tuesday, October 23 at 7:00pm (doors open at 6:00pm). This will be Amare Stoudemire's practice debut since his surgery earlier this month, and a chance for fans to see firsthand how he's doing. Admission is free, but "fans are encouraged to donate an energy efficient light bulb for Habitat for Humanity".

- In case you missed it in the diaries, AZSportsHub caught up with former Suns 12th man Paul Shirley, and also posted a season preview from Paul Coro.
- Speaking of season previews, have you posted yours yet? The deadline is a week from today (October 25).
- The virtual Suns have won a virtual championship. As part of their season previews, NBA.com posted the results of an NBA LIVE 08 simulation that predicts the Suns to beat the Celtics in seven games after first taking out the Warriors, the Rockets, and the Spurs. The simulation also predicts the regular season awards. Mike D'Antoni wins coach of the year. Curiously, the only other award-winner is Steve Nash, who makes the All-NBA second team. Amare Stoudemire is nowhere to be found in the individual kudos, and Shawn Marion again gets snubbed for the All-Defensive team. Well, I imagine the real Suns would take that result just fine if it means winning a championship.
