Tonight's only Suns-related FIBA Americas action is the 8pm Pacific/11pm Eastern match between Leandro Barbosa's Brazilian team and Venezuela. I'm not expecting the kind of routing the USA gave Venezuela a couple of nights ago, however, given that Brazil is ranked #17 and Venezuela #21, Brazil would seem to be the slight favorites. At the top of the wish list for tonight would be a better shooting percentage out of Leandro. His 30 points got it done on Thursday despite shooting 9-26 from the field, but it got pretty close there at the end. It would also be nice to see some of the other guys on his team step up a little more on the offensive end, particularly Nene, who along with Tiago Splitter, is the team's primary inside presence. It would also be helpful if Nene and Splitter could avoid foul trouble this time, as that could have easily cost Brazil the game on Thursday.
Tonight's game will be broadcast on NBATV as well as NBA.com. It may also be on FSN in some areas (looks like in Dallas, they're only showing the second hour, with the a baseball game bleeding into the first). For those viewing over NBA.com, the link is here.
