For the Record - my full submission for use by ESPN's Phoenix Suns preview was much more sarcastic (shocking!) but of course got trimmed to fit in the little grey box.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. I love the attention and welcome all the new folks that might be visiting for the first time. Stick around awhile. We've got some GREAT Suns coverage planned for the season and there's always a lively discussion going on somewhere.
Here's my much more cynical take on how Shaq might dream that end of game scenario...
Shaq Dreams of Spring The Suns are down 1, 9.2 seconds to go in game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. The Spurs have played their typical tenacious slog it out style but the Suns have punched back to even the series. A rejuvenated Shaquille O'Neal has carried his team with 22 point and 11 rebounds per game. Most shocking has been his 84% free throw shooting. Early in the preseason Shaq called out the Spurs for their cowardly hack-a-Shaq tactics in last year's series. Shaq predicted that he would make the Spurs pay and he certainly has done that again tonight. Shaq delivered by nailing two free throws after grabbing a rebound from a Nash miss. After putting the Suns up by 1 with 3 seconds to go, Shaq then switched off Duncan to stuff a driving Ginobili and win the game. Shaq is overheard screaming to his team mates "I told you losers, just get on my back and I will carry you to the promise land!"
