The Seattle Sonics are in town tonight to take on the Suns. The Suns are catching the Sonics at kind of a bad time. Not only will the Suns still be shorthanded, they're also catching the Sonics while they're hot. Well, "hot" by Sonics standards anyway. After going on a 14-game losing streak that's longer than the biggest winning streak in the league this season (13), the Sonics have won four of their last five, including a shocker over the Spurs. No doubt they'd love to take advantage of the present situation. The Suns can help themselves a lot by not spotting Kevin Durant and crew a 20-point first quarter lead like last time. The Sonics will bring their A+ game, but the Suns have the adrenaline factor on their side, not to mention superior talent, even with Shaq in a suit and Marion in Miami. At the risk of putting the blogger's jinx on our guys, I say the same effort as Wednesday gets it done.
Keys to the game:
- Expect the Sonics to play better than they actually are.
- Remember that there won't be a 6'7" freak of nature slipping in out of nowhere for steals and rebounds.
- Boris: Play like it's 2005-06.
