How would you like to be Raja Bell? You get Brandon Roy one night and then the next you've got the 6-10 phenom overhyped Kevin Durant.
The Suns had a great game last night in Portland and now they travel up the I-5 to one of the great basketball cities of all time. It will be a real shame if this team moves. A travesty. A mockery. A travishamockery.
Oh, and btw the Sonic aren't very good despite having some nice talent on their roster. They got CRUSHED by Denver 168-116 in their last game which I guess was an improvement over losing to the T-Wolves in the game before that.
Earlier in the year I would have settled for the win and not been heartbroken with a loss. But given the standings and this team's precarious hold on its confidence and fan support they cannot afford anything less then another stellar performance.
I am looking for a solid defensive effort with Amare handling Wilcox down low and Hill and Raja D'ing up the rook's Green and Durant. I would love to see us hold them under 100. That's the benchmark here for a solid win.
Think of this matchup like The Terminator II where the Suns are Arnold coming back to destroy a younger slicker model of himself and eliminating the Matrix in the process.
And keep your eye on Johan Petro. Since late last year I have been lobbying that this is the guy the Suns need to get for their backup center. I have a serious man-crush on his game and just think about having two Frenchies on the same team. Now, that's Full French!
