As I think, I often find myself humming songs. Over the last summer, I asked TEXSun if we could link songs or cuts to the site. I don't know how all that works, but I sure wouldn't want to run afoul of Lars Ulrich or antyhing. When I reading ZonaFlash's melancholy rip-off of Hunter S. Thompson , I found myself humming U2's Stuck in a Moment.

During halftime, I met up with Phoenix Stan and we shared the same emotions he expressed in his post-game write-up. If Boris stays on this side of the Maginot Line, the Suns are going to be tough to beat in Game 5. Add in a few more touches from Amare and the Sp*rs are in trouble, no doubt about it. Is that really going to happen, though.
I remember leaving the game humming, It's a Beautiful Day and taking the time to enjoy the crowd of relatively happy fans (yeah, there were a lot of persons just happy to be a playoff game, but I think if they weren't there and the crowd was filled with the likes of Stan and me the crowd would not have helped the team).
By the time I came home, I was smiling a looking forward to Tuesday. I had my nose put back into place today (I broke it last Tuesday playing soccer before Game 2). I can home with a smal splint and a bandage on my nose. JSun2, recalling the Nash Gash Game he and I went to last year, said, "That's just like Steve Nash. I think we'll win tomorrow." (He also routinely says, "I hate the Spurs because Robert Horry is a dirty player.")
Win or lose, these are my Suns. The Suns that have been giving me the same roller-coaster ride for thirty years, with a few different conductors: Gar Heard, KJ, Barkley, Rex Chapman, Starbury, Tim Thomas and now ... Shaquille O'Neal. Shaq is just nuts enough to think he can actually win this. He's also charismatic enough to make his teammaters think he can win. I mean, he's never lost a press conference, has he Walton?
I really can't help myself. It's a dysfunctional relationship .
I'm kind of like the dumb girl that keeps coming back to her loser boyfriend, hoping that I can actually change him. Like I said, I now serve my Shaqtus Overlord.
Sometimes, you just get stuck in a moment and you can't get out of it. Friday was a bad day, but if the Suns pull off this one, Game 6 is ours and it will be a blast. If my memory and math serves, the Suns are 5-2 in elimination games since the Nash/D'Antoni era started. Why would we expect Coan Antoni to change anything now?
See you at Seamus McCaffrey's on Thursday.
Bluntman got a really cool cover of the Rocky IV song No Easy Way Out by Bullet for My Valentine (it was the snow training montage).
What song will you be singing in your head? If it's not in the poll, add your own.
