Philadelphia 76ers @ Phoenix Suns

Friday, Oct 16, 2009, 8:00 PM MDT
US Airways Center

This will be my first Suns home game of the Season and it is filled with mystery and intrigue.

  • Will this be the only game Elton Brand plays in Phoenix this season?
  • Will Louis Williams get tangled up with Louis Amundson in a Louie free-for-all?
  • Will Jason Richard have a better dunk then Thad Young?

These and other questions will be answered soon enough...

In the meantime, sit back relax and enjoy these links of the day:

  • Know thy enemy: Phoenix Suns | Lakers Blog | Los Angeles Times
Speaking with the enemy...Phoenix Stan previews the Suns for the LA Times.

  • Fans make the call: NBA starts video rulebook - ESPN
The NBA launched a video rulebook Thursday, a site where fans can watch clips of plays accompanied by explanations of the rules.
  • Suns' defense showing improvement
One NBA scout said Suns win in Portland was the best defensive effort he had seen from Phoenix in six years.

  • azcentral.com blogs - Coro's Suns dish: As real as it gets
Coro's Suns dish: The Suns probably won't go to a real in-season look until next week's final preseason games at home against Sacramento on Tuesday and again against Portland on Thursday in Vancouver, although the latter is more doubtful after just playing them.
  • SUNS: Suns Fan Fest 2009
Suns Fest on October 24th from 11 – 4 pm as the Suns turn US Airways Center into an Orange Fun Fest! Experience tons of family fun and an hour of LIVE Suns action as the team scrimmages on the main court from 1-2 PM! • We Know What Steve Nash Did this Summer - NB Post-Up
Steve Nash, aka Captain Canada, has had quite a busy summer. Most of those things had actually nothing to do with basketball. Not only did he get a degree from the University of Victoria, he showed up at the Toronto Film festival talking about a Terry Fox documentary he's working on. On top of that he showed his love for soccer by training with the Vancouver Whitecaps (Nash is a part owner) and hosted a charity soccer game. And yes, that was Nash showing up in Toronto when Real Madrid with the mercurial Cristiano Ronaldo in tow to watch Los Galacticos up close. It was also announced that he will be carrying the Olympic torch when Vancouver 2010 rolls around.
  • This is Your Call to Action Suns Fans
As fans, we complain when players only show up half the time. We demand better of them, but shouldn’t we also demand better of ourselves?
